The hair bow phenomenon started when Katherine and her sister attended a Gaga concert at a small club in San Francisco in March of 2009. She wanted to stand out in the crowd so the first CCSR hair bow was born using some left over hair extensions she has lying around. The response at the concert was incredible and people could not get over how she constructed the hair bow. She then realized people were looking for this product and had no idea where to find it so she created a place on her blog where people could go to purchase their very own CCSR hair bow.
The first CCSR hair bow
The response was instantly overwhelming and Lady Gaga fans from all over the world were ordering hair bows. The hair bows began to follow lady gaga wherever she went on tour.
Then in November of 2009, People Magazine contacted Katherine to feature her hair bow in their Feb/March 2010 StyleWatch magazine in the Look for Less feature with Lady Gaga. Orders kept pouring in as Lady Gaga's little monsters just wanted a piece of The Fame! With other features in People Magazine, E! News, Hairstyle Sophisticate, Neiman Marcus editorials, Nordstrom Fashion events and other blog/web articles, Cotton Candy Sugar Rush has become a full-featured online boutique.
